I purchased two of these lasers over a month ago with the hope that they would make it here around christmas. Unfortunetly, the lasers have not yet arrived. The other items that I ordered that day arrived within two weeks.

Well, after reading all the bad reviews in which the reviewers say their Mensa society cats figured out where the dot was coming from and lost interest, I regret to say that my cats are clearly retarded, but eh, so what. It is so amusing to shine the red dot down a darkened hall and up the walls and watch the kitties go into a frenzy. Not all of them love it (we have 10) but enough do that there is a veritable stampede of cats thundering up and down chasing the red dot. It’s quite funny.
By the way, my cats aren’t really retarded–they know perfectly well where the dot is coming from, as evidenced by the way they all gallop into the kitchen when they hear the jingle sound as I remove the laser pointer from the coffee cup where I hide it. I just like calling them “retarded” because it’s so un-PC.

My four month old golden retriever puppy, Cricket, adores this gadget. I just hope it lasts! The first one I ordered died in less than two hours of use. At first I thought it was just the batteries, so I ordered a 100 pk from Amazon that should hold us for a very long time. In a few days they came, but still no consistent laser. I realized the switch/battery connector inside didn’t work any longer. So I’ve sent it back to Amazon (bless their wonderful hearts, they are so good about returns) and ordered a replacement. So far it seems sturdier, and I have my fingers crossed that it lasts. Of course, for less than $5 you can’t expect a long lived toy, but I didn’t expect less than a day. We shall see… But nevertheless, Cricket will chase it for as long as I’m willing to play with it for her! It has a very handy key ring and belt clip.

This laser was much better than I expected. Not sure how long it will last, but so far, it’s perfect, and all 4 cats love it! Plan to get several as gifts for fellow cat lovers.
